Ever get confused with the different printing sizes, i.e. 5R, 6R, 4″ x 6″? Have you faced this problem of finding a frame you love but unsure what print out size will fit it? Don’t fret! We are going to give you a brief explanation and also answer some common questions.

Photo sizes in different units

The table below should be able to help clarify questions about photo sizes.

Note: 2R-8R is 300 pixels per inch. S8R/A4 and 10R is 200 pixels per inch.

What about paper sizes? There are times when we encounter frames with paper size as its sizing. Not to worry, below are some of the paper sizes with the different units.

Which photo size print is the most common?

The 4R (4″ x 6″) is most common and standard print, and it’s the easiest to find frames for.

What is the size of a wallet size photo?

A wallet size photo is about 2.5″ x 3.5″. That is the size of a 2R print. It’s slightly bigger than a credit card.
