Photo Printing With PicCollage & Canva

Good day to our fellow readers! We’re back with yet another post. Most days our blogs are on photo printing but today we’ll be touching on designs. More specifically designing/ editing photos and graphics for photo printing.

There are tons of free online editing apps out there so which should you use? To help you narrow down, we’re going to share more about 2 of such, 1 app and 1 website.

PicCollage and Canva are great apps for editing/ designing. Both have lots of templates for you to choose from. You can add stickers, text, change up the background and many more! PicCollage is more centred around creating photo collages, greeting cards and fancy letters whereas Canva gives you more creative freedom designing from scratch.

After designing your graphics and collages, you can send in your designs to us to get your photos printing! We have a wide range of products for you to choose. From Photo Magnets to Photocubes or even a simple Premium Print suitable for framing. You’ll be sure to find the perfect product for your design/ photos!

pointers to note

Firstly, resolution. PicCollage’s free use allows for you to save your photos at a maximum resolution of 1920 x 1080. This is only optimum for photo printing sizes up to A4. If you require a bigger print, we’d suggest that you use canva instead. Canva’s settings will allow you to print sizes up to A1.

Secondly, aspect ratio. If you already have a specific size for your print in mind, be sure that your designs match the aspect ratio. Say you want a 50 x 70cm print. Your design should follow a 5:7 aspect ratio. Or if you want a 30 x 40cm then it’ll be 3:4. If your designs don’t match the aspect ratio, changes are it’ll be cropped.

Lastly, just note that PicCollage will include a watermark in your design. Only VIP users can remove it.

If you have any questions regarding printing your designs or exporting them from canva, don’t hesitate to drop us an email at [email protected]

Let us share with you some ideas on what to create. Here’s a list!

COLLAGE POSTER

If a picture is worth a thousand words, then what is a photo collage worth? Assemble your own photo collage, with stills from your favourite travel/ family moments. You can even include inspirational quotes to spice up your collage poster.

BIRTHDAY CARDS

If you can’t find a design you like in the bookstore, why not design one yourself? Choose from various templates to suit your recipient. Once you’re done, send us your designs to get the Greeting Cards printed.

GRAPHIC DESIGNS

Graphic designs are perfect to include in your presentations or a video that you’re working on. Stunning graphics really help in capturing your audience’s attention. Of course, you can also get them printed as a wall decor. It’s rather unconventional but may be just what you need for a fresh new look.

And that wraps up this blog. Do keep in mind that there are many other apps/ softwares out there so don’t be afraid to experiment. We hope you’ve found the inspiration to start creating.
