GIF Prints – Create your own animated prints (Updated)

As some of you guys know, we’ve launched our GIF Prints a few months back. So in this blog post, we will be sharing some tidbits about them. They are like those lenticular cards that you’ve seen on DIYs and photobooth services. Sadly, the downside to the lenticular prints made by photobooth services is that it uses photos taken during the photobooth.  With our GIF Prints, you can create your own lenticular prints with 2-3 of your own photos.

At the moment, we only offer 2 kinds of GIF Prints: Small Vintage & 4R prints.

Let’s start with our Small Vintage GIF Prints: It measures 2″x3.5″. It is perfect for those who want to place it at the back of their phones and for portrait photos.

Besides our Small Vintage GIF Print, we have a bigger size for those who are looking for something bigger or for landscape photos. Our 4R GIF Print is 4″x6″ – the perfect size for landscape.

You can check it out here to find out more about our GIF Prints. Currently, this GIF Print is only shipped locally in Singapore. For our International readers, not to worry, we will update you guys once we can have it shipped overseas.

Next, I’m going to share with you some cool things you can print with our GIF Prints.

Animation style

Animation

You can use 2 continuous photos to show an animated effect.

Time Skip

Time Skip

You can use 2 different age photos kind of like the #9yearchallenge we’ve seen on Instagram last month.

Light up

Aside from just animating movements, you can bring your photos to life by creating an image which ‘lights up’ too. Simply use a darker image and a another much brighter main image which helps to reflect the contrast to achieve the effect.

ADD A CAPTION

Wish to remember the date of when the photo was taken? You can add a timestamp on your GIF print! Just upload another image with the added time stamp. In fact, you can add more than just the date but any text you wish to include in your GIF Prints in a similar way.

Tip: These effects tend to work better on our Small Vintage GIF Prints!

BOOMERANG TO GIF PRINTS

Only have a saved video of your boomerang? Not to worry! Simply convert your video to a GIF, select and save the frames you desire and print them into GIF Prints.

Here is a short step-by-step guide on how to convert your boomerang into a GIF Print.

First, head to https://ezgif.com/video-to-gif and upload your video file.

Tip: Remember to check your video file type and size to see if it is compatible to the website! Boomerangs saved from Instagram should not be a problem.

Secondly, select the suitable settings accordingly. We recommend that you use a frame rate (FPS) of 5 (max 60 seconds) so that it will be easier for you to do the frame selection later on. Lower frame rate means lesser frames, lesser similar images to look through and choose from. Then, convert the video to a GIF.

Third, click on ‘split’ to generate the still images.

Lastly, scroll all the way to the end and save the images by clicking on ‘Download frames as ZIP’. Access the images in your file and choose the images that you wish to use for your GIF Prints.

There you have it! Now you can print any Boomerangs that you have saved.

These are just some of the cool things you can do with our GIF Prints. Let us know in the comments what other cool things you would print with our GIF Print!

Lastly, before we end of this blog, I’m going to share a last small tip, when printing our GIF Prints: Use 3 photos for a smoother transition.

And that’s it! Hope you guys learn a thing or two about our GIF Print. Happy Printing! ‘Till next time!
