#1 Hanging it up in the right places will result in easier caring

As a general guideline, you should place your rolled canvas or stretched canvas(s) indoors, away from the rain and direct sunlight. Exposure to water will cause the quality of your rolled canvas or stretched canvas(s) to deteriorate and placing it under direct sunlight will cause the colours to fade over time due to UV (Ultraviolet) rays. Should you need to light up your panoramic print(s), do so with soft LED lights as they produce close to no UV.

You should also avoid areas in your home that are highly humid like bathrooms, kitchens and near humidifiers. The high humidity can result in the growth of mold/ mildew to grow and ruin your elegant family portraits.

#2 Cleaning your prized canvas

Overtime, you might find the need to dust your rolled canvas or stretched canvas(s). Use a feather duster or a soft cloth and gently dust. If needed, you can use a damp cloth to lightly wipe down the surface. Never spray water directly onto the canvas or use excessive force. You should also avoid all chemicals as they will do more harm than good.

However, should your rolled canvas or stretched canvas(s) require more thorough cleaning, consider engaging professional art cleaning/ restoration services as they are better equipped to do so.

#3 Storing when not in use

For those of you who like to spruce up your home decor every now and then, you might find yourselves with more prints/ artworks than you can hang. If you need to store your rolled canvas or stretched canvas(s) do wrap them in acid-free craft paper or bubble wrap to safeguard against exposure and dust accumulation. To avoid scratches and tears, do not stack anything on top of your rolled canvas or stretched canvas(s).
