As some of you guys know, Print For Fun offer canvas prints for any occasion – be it a family portrait to adorn your walls or even decor for your wedding. So in this blog post, we will be sharing some things about our canvas posters. For a quick introduction to canvas posters, check out our blog, the Basics of Canvas Printing before proceeding.
Image wrap vs Colour wrap
When it comes to canvas posters, there are 2 main types of wraps that we do: image wrap and colour wrap. Some of you guys will probably wonder what is the difference between image wrap and colour wrap.
Firstly, image wrap is where the part of the image is wrapped around the canvas frame. An example will be as follow:
As for colour wrap, colour is used to wrap around the canvas frame instead of a part of the image. An example is shown below.
We do have queries that ask which wrap would be the best: Overall, it all depends on your photo. If you have a photo where there are people at the edge, it is best to have it colour wrap instead of image wrap. This is to avoid cutting anyone from image when wrapping.

Collage your favourite moments with collage canvas posters
Want to do a collage but for canvas posters? Now you get a chance to create one. You can create different collage designs – from a simple to a complex collage layout. Plus you can also add in text to your canvas collage. Below is an example of how our collage canvas posters looks like

ready to hang
Next, we will be talking about the type of hanging solution used. Firstly, if it is a small size canvas such as our 20cm x 20cm and 20cm x 30cm an alligator hook will be used.
A braided picture wire will be used for sizes 30cm x 40cm and bigger. You can use the 3M hook such as the Wire-Backed Picture Hanger to hang canvas posters for this sizes:
- 20cm x 20cm
- 20cm x 30cm
- 30cm x 40cm
- 40cm x 60cm
Do take note that the canvas poster may not lie flatly against the wall and the canvas may tilt forward slightly. For sizes 50cm x 70cm and 60cm x 90cm, it is best to hang it with a nail due to its weight and size.
Preparing for shipment
For shipments, we will place the canvas poster in a plastic and then wrapped in bubble wrap so as to prevent any damage to the canvas poster. Lastly, it will be placed inside a box for it to be shipped.
lead/shipping time
Curious to know how long it will take? Any size from 20cm x 20cm to 40cm x 60cm, can take up to at least 1 working day. It overall depends on the shipping option that you take. Unfortunately, our 50cm x 70cm & 60cm x 90cm canvas poster takes at least 3 working days for it to be printed and wrapped.
