Canvas images are getting more and more popular among newlyweds. In our previous blog posts, we talked more on what are canvas images, different methods of wrapping and sizes that we offer. You can find out more at Basics of Canvas Printing<\/a>.<\/p>\n

As you decide on which photo, it will be helpful to keep in mind the type of wrapping you wish to go for. Through this blog post, we will share with you common wedding images that are printed and type of wrapping we would recommend. <\/span><\/p>\n

IMAGE WRAPPING <\/b><\/h1>\n

With image wrapping, your canvas frame will be entirely wrapped around the sides of the wooden frame, creating a seamless finish all the way from your canvas to the wall you are hanging on. <\/span><\/p>\n

However, this means that part of your photo will be folded to the sides. As such, there could be a possibility that a part of the background or foreground gets cropped off from the front.<\/span><\/p>\n

Keeping that in mind, let us share with you a few examples of commonly printed images on canvas and what type of wrapping is recommended<\/span>.<\/p>\n

SCENERY SHOTS <\/b><\/h1>\n

Traveled out of the country for your wedding shoot? We definitely do not want to waste any of that effort and have parts of the background scenery to be cropped off imperfectly. <\/span><\/p>\n

In this image, you can see that after folding, the tip and corners of the Louvre will be hidden at the back . This happens when image was taken too up close such that the corners of the Louvre are relatively close to the edges of the image. <\/span><\/p>\n

To avoid this, make sure that in your chosen photo the key features and main subjects are not close to all edges of the photo. I am sure you do not want the main subject to be folded to the side or the back! <\/span><\/p>\n

Alternatively, if you do not wish for any of the image to be hidden from the front view, you can always opt for colour wrap. Instead of having part of the image wrapped around the sides, a coloured border will be wrapped around the sides of the wooden canvas frame.  <\/span><\/p>\n

You can choose to have a white, black or a colour that is close to the background of the image for the border which will be wrapped around the side of the canvas images. <\/span><\/p>\n

SHOTS FRAMED BY STRUCTURES <\/b><\/span><\/h1>\n

For some wedding shoots, photographers will use certain landmarks or buildings to frame the shot. For these images, we recommended that you choose colour wrap instead of image wrapping so to achieve the best result and it keeps the intended effect of your photographer. <\/span><\/p>\n

<\/i>WEDDING GOWN SHOTS <\/b><\/span><\/h1>\n

Chances are, out of the hundred photos that you have received from your photographer, there will be a few that captures the bride’s extravagant wedding gown. For shots that features a long gown train, if the gown is too close to the edges,  part of it will be folded and hidden. Similarly, if you do not wish to have parts of your gown hidden from the front you can choose an image which the gown is further away from the edges. <\/span><\/p>\n
