If you clicked on this post, chances are you have your own burning questions on wall photo frames.  Today, we\u2019re answering a couple of the most frequently asked questions we get when it comes to our wall photos frames. Sit tight, cause today we\u2019re diving straight into the technical aspects of framing and it\u2019s gonna be a lengthy one.<\/span><\/p>\n

What kind of frame should I use to display my breathtaking photo print?<\/span><\/h2>\n

Keep it simple! As far as possible, stick to basic colours like black or white. You\u2019ll be surprised by how much your photo prints will stand out against them. How do I ensure the gaps between my frames are uniform?<\/span><\/h2>\n

All you need is a ruler and a pencil. Firstly, mark out the whole area that you intend on covering with your wall photo frames (taking into consideration the gaps in between). Re-measure once you\u2019ve marked it out just to ensure that it\u2019s exactly how you want it. <\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

Next, you\u2019ll have to measure the distance from the top of the frame to the hook. Mark out this distance on the wall to ensure your frames will hung on the same line. Now you can hammer in a nail\/ attach your stick on hook exactly at the bottom of the line. <\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

If you\u2019re using a Velcro to do this, we suggest you outline the position of each frame. This way, you\u2019ll know if you happen to paste it slanted to one side. <\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

We do not recommend you to use a braided wire for this as it is rather difficult to gauge. You\u2019ll have to be extra precise in ensuring that the braided wire is equal for all the frames. Even a difference of 1cm will make a huge difference in the placement.<\/span><\/p>\n

How do I ensure my wall photo frames are hung straight?<\/span><\/h2>\n

Grab yourself a water bubble ruler! This inexpensive tool is super useful to have around. If you don\u2019t have one, you can get it from any hardware shop in your neighbourhood for less than $10.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/span><\/span>Or if you purchase a Framed Print from us, we include one small bubble leveller just for you! <\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

To check if your wall photo frames are hung straight, place it against the frame and keep your eye on the centre bubble. The bubble should be between the two black lines. If they aren\u2019t adjust it accordingly.<\/span><\/p>\n

What are the different ways I can use to hang my wall photo frames?<\/span><\/h2>\n

This is a question that we receive from multiple customers every week. Of course everyone knows the good old nail and hook. It works great for just about every frame you can think of. But often times, people are looking for a different\/ easier alternative to display their wall photo frames. <\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

This is where the other 2 options come in – velcro & braided wire. Now the braided wire is not as hassle-free as the velcro but it might be a better fit depending on what you\u2019re trying to display. Let\u2019s start with the velcro.<\/span><\/p>\n

Velcro<\/span><\/h3>\n

The more commonly used velcro tape comes from 3M. You should only consider using velcro is your frames are relatively small and lightweight. The bigger\/ heavier your frame is, the more ineffective the velcro becomes. As a rough guide, sizes up to 30cm by 40cm should work great with velcro.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

Depending on the width of your frame, you may need to cut the velcro strip for it to fit the frame perfectly. You should paste it onto the back of the frame roughly halfway from the top and bottom. Peel off liner on the other adhesive side and paste it against the wall. It\u2019s as simple as that! <\/span><\/p>\n

Just a pointer, the adhesive on the velcro will not work well on powdery surfaces. This would include walls that have an old coat of paint. Something you can do to help with it is to wipe down the surface with rubbing alcohol to clean any dust\/ paint chips that may be on it. If you find that it is not stick as well as it should, you can always opt for the hook\/ <\/span><\/p>\n

Braided Wire<\/span><\/h3>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

The other method will be to hang your wall photo frames with a braided wire. Now this one can be a little tricky. You\u2019ll need 2 screw eyes and a braided wire. The length would depend on how wide your frames are. This frame we used is 23cm wide and the wire was 37cm long.<\/span><\/p>\n

Firstly, you\u2019ll have to hammer in the hooks on 2 sides at exactly the same distance from the top. <\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

Then, loop the braided wire through the screw eye a few times to get it in place. Do the same for the other side.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

An important note, you don\u2019t want to leave too much or too little slack for the braided wire. It should form an inverted \u2018U\u2019 shape with the highest point not exceeding the frame. <\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

All that\u2019s left to do is to hang it up either on a nail or a hook. <\/span><\/p>\n
