Layout Ideas For Your Gallery Wall

What’s up everyone. Welcome back to the PFF blog. Today we will be featuring frames for home décor. We understand that many of you are working from home now and have a little more time to clean up and decorate your houses. With that being said, some of you may struggle to determine which layout is the most ideal for your homes. Fret not, we have come up with a few layouts to help you better visualize what works best for your gallery wall at home.

As they say, a picture speaks a thousand words. What better way is there to decorate our houses with these beautiful pictures. To better help you visualize, we have designed a few layouts that you can try out on Canva. Simply insert your pictures into the layouts for your gallery wall that we have designed and choose what’s best for your home.

Squared/Symmetrical layout

For the squared/symmetrical layout, we recommend highlighting the more important images in the centre and those at the sides will complement the centre images. The squared/symmetrical layout is ideal for those who value order and want straight and clean lines.

Staircase layout

For those of us who have a staircase in our houses, you can also opt to decorate the walls at our staircases. We recommend using one common theme. For example, the pictures on your staircase layout could feature your child growing up.

Pinwheel layout

The pinwheel layout is ideal for those who want to decorate their walls with pictures but lack the space to do it. This layout differs from the rest as it requires a lot less wall space. By using this layout, you are still able to decorate your walls with timeless pictures even though you may not have a huge amount of wall space.

Chevron Layout

The chevron layout requires a decent amount of space on the wall. We recommend using it for progression throughout life. For example, from dating to proposing and finally starting a family. The centre picture should be the most current regarding your life and the pictures beside should show how your progression to your current position.

Butterfly Layout

We recommend displaying the most important image at the centre (body of the butterfly) while the images that relate to the centre image should be displayed at the sides (wings of the butterfly) to show how they are interconnected.
